This blog covers the trials and tribulations of my attempt to restore two Jaguar cars that I own.  One is a 1968 340 and the other is a 1976 XJ6C. Both cars are in need of restoration and this blog documents my attempts to bring the cars back to life. Using photographs, blog entries and streaming video and audio – I will attempt to document the process as best I can. If you find this site by accident I hope you find it of interest.

  1. I don’t envy you having two of these cars to fiddle with. My car lost a spat on the trip down from Chicago–the guy driving the auto transporter recovered the damaged spat–but I had to buy a new one. Neither of them fit particularly well, and I actually had to relocate the bracket on the new one–but that’s a long story. I will follow this with interest. Good luck on getting the rear bumper back on–they say they are a bear. Ron Keysor

  2. The Xj6C worries me more than the Mk2. The spat is a problem and I have one more source for a used bracket before I break down and buy a new one. I’ve also heard the rear bumber is a bear – I’m finding the front grill a prblem as well.
